FA Investigating Snodgrass Transfer
NBC just mentioned on their coverage that the FA is investigating the transfer of Snodgrass due to BFS's comments before today's game. Apparently, he opened his stupidly large mouth and said something like, "the only we could get him when we did was to not play him today."

That would be a breach of rules if true.

Anyone know any more?

Moyes dismisses Allardyce claims

David Moyes says Robert Snodgrass omission from tonight’s game was nothing to do with him and he doesn’t consider it any of his business..

Probed further about potential Premier League investigation into the Snodgrass transfer the Hammers manager said he had no problem saying they have to do what they have to do.

He went on to say Robert Snodgrass was a really good player at West Ham and somebody who is a great character and whom the the club really enjoyed,

Moyes said “We sent him to West Brom with our best wishes, we didn’t receive any fee for him because we have so much respect for Robert and the work he did here’

West Brom manager Sam Allardyce revealed beforehand live on BT Sport that Snodgrass was unavailable for the game due to “an agreement between the clubs” as part of the deal to sign the former Hammer on January 8th he claimed to TV viewers.

Such an agreement if it existed whether written or informal might constitute a breach of Premier League regulation I 7, which states that “No Club shall enter into a contract which enables any other party to that contract to acquire the ability materially to influence its policies or the performance of its teams in League Matches, any matches in the Professional Development Phase Games Programme or the Professional Development Leagues (as those terms are defined in the Youth Development Rules) or in any of the competitions set out in Rule L.9.”

Robert Snodgrass travelled to the London Stadium and was seen watching from the stands wearing a mask.

Imo we’ve requested something but at the end of the day they could have backtracked at any point as it wasn’t in the contract. Just fat sam stirring as he hates the board as much as we do

Re: FA Investigating Snodgrass Transfer
We wait and see I guess but I wonder if we wanted the transfer agreement to be after this game, but Albion wanted him earlier and said something like ‘we won’t play him if we can do the transfer now’
Doesn’t avoid the issue but maybe that p’s how the verbal agreement was made. Note, if it is only verbal nothing we could have done to enforce it.

The FA would never be as quick to do this if true !!!!

Re: FA Investigating Snodgrass Transfer
Probably a "gentleman's agreement". If nothing is in a contract demanding it, then I doubt there's anything to investigate.

However, if it is in a contract, and it is against the rules then we only have ourselves to blame and deserve anything we get.

Shouldn’t be allowed at all. If you sign a player you can play him in any game you fucking want.

Re: FA Investigating Snodgrass Transfer
This is how it went I reckon.

WBA put in a bid for Snodders.
WHU say, "yeah ok, we'll complete the paperwork at 8pm on 19th jan"
WBA say "But we want him now. What about if we don't play him against you but don't put anything down on paper?"
WHU go, "yeah alright".
Allardyce gets told this and acts the cunt.
FA investigate and find nothing.

OR

If there is something on record where we've done something wrong, then we deserve to be punished.

"No club shall enter into a contract which enables another party to that contract to acquire the ability materially to influence its policies or the performance of its teams in league matches”.

That wording to me sounds like it's more likely to be West Broms problem than ours?

@Lee Trundle, yeah that's almost certainly exactly what happened - I thought that myself.

Sorry to disagree with the OP, but this needs its own thread.

If it doesn't roll on and on into a saga, then the thread will just drop off the front page.

If it does, we will know where to find the discussion.

It’ll be a fine at worst, but probably nothing.

I think *only* if we put it on paper would it be an issue that the FA could point to, we wouldn't be that stupid now, Shirley.

That’s how I read it as well, if true it’s West Brom who have broken the rule not us

He knows how to rub people up the wrong way. He is only just in the door and already he has let his boss know exactly how much of a cunt he is. He’s willing the throw his whole club under the bus he is fond of parking just so he has an easy excuse in an interview.

We definitely won’t get a points deduction, they probably won’t...but they might.
